Kappil Beach which is 8 km north of Varkala is a stunning beach in Kerala, God's own country. Kappil Beach is blessed with natural beauty and a lovely beach. Kappil Beach is very clean, moderately shallow and attracts many tourists as it provides them with opportunities of swimming and sunbathing.

Anjengo Fort, one of the prime attractions of Varkala, is a testimonial to many historic events and links related to the colonial rule in the region. Situated in the vicinity of Varkala town, the fort is believed to have been constructed between the 17th to 18th centuries.
